Cute, Casual Day Outfit

Hey guys, here in London spring is beginning to show, flowers are blooming, the sun is out and trees are getting greener but there is still a slight chill to the air. Spring arriving has given my wardrobe boost and I thought I would share with you one of my current favourite outfits.

Denim Jacket | Urban Outfitters £56
Pinefore Dress | Zara £19.99
Rabbit blouse | H&M £14.99
Tights | Primark £2.50
Shoes | Topshop £30
Hat | Primark £3

I love this blouse, it has slightly belled sleeves and the rabbits are perfect for spring, and I love to just throw on my denim jacket and go, its so simple.

Quinoa Salad

Like many people I'm trying to live healthier, this includes eating well but I still want to eat food that I enjoy, surprising to some people I love fruit and veg so here is a recipe for quinoa salad. I made a huge batch of this so that it can last me the week while I'm at university because I can keep going back and snacking when I need too.

Ingridients:
Quinoa (kinda obvious)
Broccoli
Potato
Green beans
Bell peppers
Cucumber
Beetroot
Onion
Apple
Plum tomates
Sweetcorn
Olive oil
Chilli powder

Method:
Well the method is simple, depending on the quinoa, cook it for how long it is instructed on the packet.
I peeled and chopped the potatoes and added some olive oil then sprinkled on some chilli powder, and did the same for the broccoli and half the green beans. Then Put them in the oven for around 10-15 minutes.

For the rest I washed cut and peeled then added it all together in a big casserole disband gave it a mix, I also added the rest of the raw green beans to add a crunch.

For me this is a huge batch but I know it will stop me from snacking of junk food, I can take it to university with me if I want or simply eat it at home.

Thank you for reading I hope you like the recipe.

New Skin Care Products

In December I may have "accidentally" stumbled across The Body Shop website, where I may "accidentally" have pick a few items. I don't think I have purchased anything from The Body Shop before but I have now been converted.

I thought I would share with you the new additions to my skincare routine which have become my staples. I had heard about all of the good properties of seaweed but I have never tried a seaweed product before but I love these products, especially the toner and they quickly became part of my routine.

I use the toner almost every day as part of my routine. I cleanse my skin using my usual products then  go in with the toner just to make sure my skin is makeup, dirt and oil free. This toner will make your skin feel fresh no matter what sort of day you have have had, and it has a nice floral smell to go with it.

As for the clay mask, I use it once a week depending on how my skin  is at the time or what other products I have already used. I love this mask; like the toner its refreshing on the skin and removes excess oil from your skin. There is no seaweed smell on either of these products only a fresh floral scent.

Now I have tried these products I will for sure be going back for the rest of the products in this range.

Kensington Palace

I'm not going to lie, one of the reasons I was most excited about moving to London was being able to visit all of the well known tourist spots as well as opening my eyes to all of the other lesser known but equally amazing spots. I think its the travellers daughter in me.

From all of the travelling I have done my favourite places have always been the more historical visits, especially castles and palaces, so finally after all of the months of living here, i finally rounded up some flat mates and visited Kensington Palace.

Kensington Palace is split into two parts, one part is private and houses some members of the current royal family members, while the other is the historical state apartments of past royals. The palace boasts beautiful spacious apartments, the different apartments include, Victoria Revealed, Fashion Rules, The Queens State Apartments and The Kings State Apartments.

Unfortunately Fashion rules was closed when we went so we missed The modern royals and their fashion section, but on the upside it means I can go back for another visit.

I didn't get as many photographs as I thought I had but here are the ones I got, so enjoy.
