Follow My Feet | Kensington Gardens

Hey guys, one of the things I love about London is that there are so many parks here, you can be pretty much be anywhere in London and find a park quite easily. Last week I visited Kensington Gardens which is such a lovely place. I have previously posted about Kensington Palace that I have visited previously but this post is dedicated mostly to the park.

The Gardens sit next to Hyde park and are connected by The Long Water built for Queen Caroline in 1730, it is connected to The Serpentine which is the lake in Hyde Park. Kensington Gardens is beautiful and to me looks a lot more natural and unkept than Hyde Park, the gardens attached to the palace are immaculate, there is a lovely variety of wildlife, and I was very surprised when I walked around a corner and saw a parakeet perched on somebodies hand. A lovely feature is the Italian gardens, situated at the end of The London Water, it looks like a setting of a roman novel, the pathways are sectioned off into different ponds with fountains in them and at the end is a little balcony over looking the The Long Water.

A feature I didn't know about until I got there is the Peter Pan Statue, as a child and still today, Peter Pan was my favourite story, and while every other child was waiting for their letter to hogwarts, I was waiting to fly to Neverland. I loved the little statue, it was placed there because parts of the film and the novel were based there.

Once we had looked around the gardens we ended up back at the palace and as we walked past it, a helicopter landed and Prince Edward got out and was driven to the palace, it was a surreal experience to have seen. The Gardens of the palace are gorgeous, boasting a mix of colourful tulips by the pond and pristine hedges. For me this will always be one of my favourite places in London to visit and I hope you like my photos.

**I would just like to mention, if you notice, 

some of my photos are slightly out of focus, this is because 

recently there has been a decline in my eyesight.

I thought the pain from straining my eyes was down

 to the migraines I have suffered with every day for 7 years,

 turns out its not. I actually have an eyesight issue, 

but my glasses will be here soon so please bare with me for the next few weeks, 

as I have had scheduled posts for a while.**

Follow My Feet | Adventure in Richmond

A few weeks ago I was feeling so restless, before starting university work I decided to go for a walk in the local park to clear my head. After getting outside I decided against the park because I have been so many times, so I began walking in the opposite direction. Skip forward about an hour and a half later and I had walked into Richmond.

Within seconds I was in love, its on its on the Thames, I like the variety of shops and the pubs, you can sit on the side of the Thames and eat ice cream or sit in a beer garden and have food. There is a mix of franchise stores or one of boutiques and of course you could walk into Richmond Park. I didn't get chance to go to the park on that day but i will definitely going to be going back.

I will be visiting Richmond again tomorrow to show my friends around, I will be visiting the park as well and this taking my DSLR with me so i will be getting better pictures than these ones on my phone.

It's a Carnaby Christmas

The saturday after Black Friday me and my flat mates ventured out to Oxford Street to check out the sales, and to tell you the truth it was absolutely manic, but I managed to pick up a few things. I thought I would show you guys some of the pictures I had taken that day.

Personally I love Carnaby so when ever I visit Central London I inevitably end there, I wasn't going to put these pictures up because this isn't a planned post, I took these pictures to send to my family back home, but I figured you guys wouldn't mind seeing the christmas lights.

Carnaby is nestled in between Regent Street and Oxford street, it is a few small streets of shops all lined up and surrounded by old timey pubs and restaurants, some of the buildings are old and painted different colours with designs from different eras with modern twists to fit the shops they inhabit.

Of course while I was on oxford street I just so happened to pop into the Disney Store and happily found myself in the pumpkin cart from Cinderella.

Moving To London

Hey guy, I know it has been a while since iv been active and I wanted to explain to you where I have been. Basically I got in to the university I applied for which meant moving to London, and so far its been the best decision iv made.

I love all of the people in my flats and the area I live in is amazing, I guess all the college work I did paid off.

After my nan died I decided to take some time away but then I had to moved down to London a week later, before having to go back home for the funeral, so I took a little extra time to get to know my new local area as well as explore central London. I will be posting the pictures of my journeys soon.

When I was younger we would travel to London a few times a year and I hated it, it was much too hectic for young me, people everywhere bumping into you, traffic everywhere, and the heat of the underground.

But now I'm older iv learned to appreciate these things and take them all in my step, as the capital city London has so much more to offer other than Buckingham Palace and the London Eye, everywhere you look there is something new to see. From all of the parks, to the architecure, and the hidden side streets packed with hidden boutiques on cobble stoned walk ways.

Follow My Feet | FIRST EVER VLOG!!!

Hey guys I went on a short trip to Falmouth, I had never been before but it was so beautiful. I spent the night in a hotel on the sea front. Falmouth had a lovely atmosphere, people were swimming in the sea (brave, brave people it must of been freeing) or doing some kind of water sports, dogs were playing with their owners on the beach.

Teenagers were building campfires on the sand and something that I loved was the fact so many teenagers were around but the adults didn't shy away or treat them any differently, everybody was mingling.


Ships were docked just off shore, the money rose over the castle, the sky changed from light blue to pink and dark purple hues before changing in to a clear dark sky.

I stayed at the Membly Hall Hotel, which had beautiful views where ever you looked, the food was also amazing.

Winter Walk

Like many people today I spend most of my time using technology, in college I'm on computers or using some other form of tech (I'm a film student) and when I get home I am forever using my laptop and phone.

I used to walk all the time but lately I stay cooped up in doors, so I decided to talk a walk to clear my head.
