April Favourites

Woooo April went fast, I know I say that each month but as the end of my college year draws closer, the quicker time seems to fly!

Beauty:
For skin care my favourites this month has to be Simple. I have been using the Kind to eyes smoothing eye balm and the Kind to skin vital vitamin day cream, also the vital vitamin foaming cleanser.

I have also been loving the super drug own brand tea tree facial cleansing wipes, they are super cheap there is a lot of them, they usual have a deal on them and they actually work, what more could you ask for. I would advise that you get the sensitive skin ones iv if your eyes are sensitive as well is your skin, you ask why? all i got one of each but the normal ones make my eyes water like I'm cutting an onion.

Iv also been loving Benefit Roller Lash, when I first saw the brush I didn't think it would be up to much, but a love it, your lashes look so natural and you don't need to use ten coats. Also if you are like me and don't like putting things close to your eye and the huge mascara bristles other brands use freak you out then Roller Lash is for you.

Lush Jungle Solid Conditioner, I know I put this up last month but I haven't just been using it for my hair, I thought I would see how it shapes up when it comes to shaving my legs and guys this is a magical product, I will write a review for you.

Shop:
Boohoo, Plain and simple I freaky love boohoo!

Clothing:
Because Iv started the gym Iv been looking for more work out appropriate clothing and New Balance Sports bra and my under armour tops have become my new best friends.

Also my bright orange Nike shoes, you guys know I love orange so these shows are perfect for me.

Garden Project | Ideas For This Year

Welcome back to garden projects! Last year I wrote a post of a few things I was going to be growing in my garden and some projects I wanted to do once our patio was built and in the end the patio never got built.

But this year I'm not going to let this stop me, I'm going persist any way and grow, grow, grow... I hope.

Last year I grow some strawberries, potatoes, also I began to grow a pineapple and if you follow me on instgram you will have seen Penelope (the pineapple) growing away in my kitchen read to plant outside when the weather is better.

As you know I am into making smoothies so I want to grow some spinach and kale, as well as a herb garden because I love trying new flavours in my food. Strawberries and potatoes will obviously be making an appearance again. Hopefully I want to try to grow some other berry bushes which I have never grown before so I'm not expecting a high yield.

Im not being stupidly ambitious because I'm heading off to university this year so I can't afford to be spending all my money on the garden when I have so much more things to buy.

I love to grow my own fruit and vegetables because it is so satisfying to see the progress as well as using them in my own recipes, it can save money but also I know what is going into my food if I have grown it.

I hope I can inspire you to begin to grow your own, so stick with my guys

Thanks for reading, I will be keeping you updated.

Smoothie Saturday Break/ Update

Sooooo any body who was here yesterday to read my latest smoothie recipe would of been met with disappointment. I'm sorry I didn't post but in the recent weeks iv felt pressured to quickly make a smoothie for you guys and realised I didn't enjoy it, so I'm going to take a few weeks to experiment and get back to post recipes in the near future.

This way I can work with new, fresh fruit that is transitioning in from winter to spring! But if you do fancy a smoothie then feel free to find one of my older posts from last year.

Also over the coming weeks I will hopefully be working more in the garden meaning I can get back to Garden Projects posts, I have a few things planned for this year so I can incorporate the fruit and vegetables in my garden into my smoothies. EXCITING!!

For the coming week I have some reviews coming your way as well as, a 10 Facts About Me post.

Just thought I would write this to keep you updated, I know this past month my posts have been slow but iv been concentrating a lot on college and getting ready for university.

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this I really appreciate it!!!

Follow My Feet | FIRST EVER VLOG!!!

Hey guys I went on a short trip to Falmouth, I had never been before but it was so beautiful. I spent the night in a hotel on the sea front. Falmouth had a lovely atmosphere, people were swimming in the sea (brave, brave people it must of been freeing) or doing some kind of water sports, dogs were playing with their owners on the beach.

Teenagers were building campfires on the sand and something that I loved was the fact so many teenagers were around but the adults didn't shy away or treat them any differently, everybody was mingling.

Ships were docked just off shore, the money rose over the castle, the sky changed from light blue to pink and dark purple hues before changing in to a clear dark sky.

I stayed at the Membly Hall Hotel, which had beautiful views where ever you looked, the food was also amazing.

Teen Talk: University

I say this is a teen talk but I'm sure this chat can appeal to almost anybody, I say this because one thing that university students have in common with a lot of people is independence, whether they move away from home or stay!

Eventually everybody takes on some form of independence, it could be simple things such as changing your diet or finding new friends, to going on holiday with your friends for the first time or something bigger like leaving home, getting your driving licence or starting a family. But for a lot of teens choosing to go to university or following other paths such as getting an apprenticeship or a job.

For me at the moment my winning choice is university, but that comes with all sorts of questions and I am a terrible over anxious, over thinker, and iv your like me you will be going mad right about now!

Im trying to write my personal statement and I'm sure it is going to be the death of me, and if that doesn't kill me then the amount of times iv banged my head against the desk will be. I'm finding this hard because you have to  promote yourself but obviously you can't over promote yourself and look ignorant or obnoxious, but you still need to make a bloody good impression. I have two paragraphs so  far and guess when the deadline is? January 15th, so I am going out of my mind, with a million and one questions whirling around my head.

  1. Am I sure university is right for me?
  2. Do I have what it takes?
  3. Do I move away or stay close to home?
  4. Do I go for a city campus or not?
  5. University by the sea?
  6. Will I have enough money to live?
  7. How often will I get to see my family?
  8. Will I get the work done?
  9. Am I choosing the right course?
  10. Will I make new friends?
  11. And most importantly, will I get in?
And with them questions come an entourage of more, so no doubt after this I will post more university posts, but for now I thought people who are in the same boat as me could come here and say what they want and maybe give each other so advice.

New Year Resolutions

Do any of you guys, believe in the new year bringing about the power within yourself to over come an old habit, or perhaps start new? For example quiting smoking or starting a new sport.
A lot of people take the new year as their chance, but often fail in there

endeavour, where as others believe that if you want to make a difference in your life you should start as soon as possible rather than wait for the new year to bring new tidings, and there are those who manage to stick by there new life and make the change last.

I never really bothered with resolutions before, but last year I did sit down and make a list and I managed to stick by a few, so this year I am taking them more seriously.

Here is the list I have this year:

  • Live More Naturally
  • Improve My Health
  • Designs
To live more naturally and improve my health come hand in hand, and as for designs that is one of my hobbies and projects that you guys will possibly find out about.

Last years list:
Last Years
  • Knit
  • Get fit
  • Guitar
  • Bass
  • Camera
  • Blog
As you can see last years list if much longer than this years! The only one I didn't try is knitting , but the others I did try and one I accomplished.

The one I accomplished would be this blog, I say I accomplished it because i still write and plan for it even though I may not be the best writer and planner but i do try, and I enjoy it, now get fit, guitar  and bass are things I started but was never able to follow through, for the get fit i have the excuse of having a bad year and constantly giving up and restarting, where are for learning new instruments, I do not have the patience for learning them but I won't be giving up. Camera is also something that iI still learning as technology is always changing, this brings me to this years resolutions.

Of course these resolutions are not something that can be done at the click of your fingers so i will be doing them in steps and I will be keeping you guys posted at the steps I make.

If you have any thoughts on this topic feel free to comment, and follow me!

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Blog Update

I am sorry I didn't upload a Smoothie Saturday, but I haven't been in the country so I couldn't make any! Also I don't think there will be one tomorrow either!

But anyway what I wanted to speak about is my blog in general, because I have anxiety and the reason I started this blog is because I had read a few times that being able to blog has help some people with anxiety, and helps to make them feel more confident. So I decided to give it a go but, I started to make posts to make others happy and not really writing about stuff that I like. This made my posts less frequent because although I was writing about stuff I enjoy, I was beginning to get worried that people weren't going to write what I like, and although I love knowing that people I wasn't doing it for me anymore.

After taking a step back and thinking about it iv decided that I'm going to make my blog a bit more lifestyle and treat it slightly more like a diary, BUT I will still be writing beauty, food and all they other types of posts I used to because they are what I'm interested in!

So now that the boring stuff is over my blog can become interesting again... I hope!

Travel Essentials

I know iv been away for a while, but iv had my reasons but I'm back now!
So I'm going to Switzerland on Sunday, and thought I would tell you what some of my travel essentials.

So first up is the wrap, that I will be using to carry my stuff, it was from primark, although I can't remember the price, I love this because it has three big compartments, an one is removable, also it has a hook on it so you can hang it up.

Next is slightly boring, but definitely essential! Shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser, which iv put into some travel bottles, the products I use are L'Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense shampoo and conditioner and Vaseline Aloe Fresh

For make up I'm keeping it simple, and just taking my Maybelline Pure Dream BB cream, Collection Work The Colour nude eye palette, and Work The Colour nail varnish in shade Lilac Daze, and also my collection Mosaic bronzer in sun kissed.
Also i'll  be taking a primark brow pencil and eye liner, I saw these when I went in for travel supplies and thought for a pound I would give them a try and they work great, iv also got a concealer brush, stippling brush and a dual eye brush.

Next I have a small nail kit also from primark which cost a pound I think which is really good value, also I have an Alice In Wonderland nail file which was from a set of five Disney nail files.

Next up for face products, all I will be taking is Simple toner, and day cream with Garnier   micellar water... when I find a container small enough to put it in.

Lastly I will be taking, Vaseline hand cream, Maybelline Baby Lips, and of course dry shampoo and deodorant.

Im sorry for the big gaps everywhere and the layout, im still learning

Thanks for reading!

Healthy Snacks

Banana & Peanut Butter Milkshake With Banana And Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

Disclaimer- iv decided to post a few  recipes every now and again which I have tried, I am in no way shape or form a top class chef or a baker, what I am making is just some fun recipes that I wanted to try, so they won't be perfect, be presented perfect and some might go wrong! I am just trying to make food that is easy, simple, can be made on a budget and can also be made using things from around the house!

The first thing I made was a banana and peanut butter smoothie! You will realise that I make a lot of things with banana in because I have a huge amount of bananas that I need to use.

Ingredients:
1 banana
1 tbsp. of peanut butter
100ml of almond milk (you can use any milk, I used almond as I am intolerant to cows milk)

Instructions:
First I split the banana into chunks and put that in to a jug and add a tbsp of peanut butter, blend that first and make it as smooth as you can and then add 100ml of milk.

Because this recipe is so simple you can add or deduct the amount of ingredients if you want.

Strawberry And Banana Frozen Yogurt:

Ingredients:
2 bananas
1 cup of chopped strawberries
1/2 cup of yogurt
Instructions:
first I chopped up the bananas and strawberries in to smaller chunks then put them in to a bowl and blended together, I didn't blend until it was smoothie because I want to keep the texture.
next I add the yogurt and mixed it in with spoon, then put it into a tub and then put it in the freezer.
This recipe is also very simple to make and you can also change the ingredients if you want. I want to make fairly simple recipes this week which can be made on a budget, because i'm a college so I know budgeting can be hard, also I want to make simple foods for any parents who want easy snacks to through together for there children or simple foods to make with the kids.
I hope you enjoy the recipes.

Smoothie Saturday!!!

Okay be for I start I just want to say sorry to all my readers! I know that my posts have been few and far between, because I have had some problems in my personal life which left me in a non writing mood. I wrote a few posts in a notebook which I was going to but one is a haul which is a few weeks old so I don't know if I will post it, but if you guys want to see it then just ask!

Although I have been writing up posts lately I have had plenty of ideas which I have put into a list ready for when i'm feeling up to it and my writers block has left on his holidays! And one idea iv had is Smoothie Saturday, lately I have been trying to live by a healthier lifestyle and making smoothie's is something I enjoy doing so I thought I would post the recipes for the smoothie's I have made.

 Pineapple and Kiwi

1 banana
2 kiwi
1/2 a cup of frozen pineapple
1 handful of spinach
100ml of pineapple juice

To make:
First I blended the spinach and pineapple juice,
the added the banana and kiwi which I had to cut into chunks
then I the frozen pineapple, and lastly I added two raspberries on top!

I know that making smoothie's isn't rocket science but I have a handheld blender which isn't very good at blending all fruit and veg or frozen things so I had to cut everything in chunks first and add the frozen pineapple because I had to wait for them to slightly defrost first.

I'm looking around at the moment for some nice glasses or jars which I can put the smoothie's in to make these posts look a little prettier than the rubbish pictures you will be getting for the next few weeks, so sorry about that guys!

I know that this has been a rambling post but I wanted to update you guys and put up a quick post, thanks for reading.

Update!

I was hoping to put a new blog up everyday last week, but the week turned out to be very stressful, so Thursday was the last day I uploaded! I'm so sorry about that, even though I haven't been writing, I have been checking up on my blog, and my views have been slowly going up, without me posting on social media sites. Seeing that makes me really happy, and I was wondering are some of you people coming back to read new posts or are you all new readers?

I'd also like to say hi to all my Russian readers, who seem to always pop up in my stats!

I finish college on Wednesday, which means I shall hopefully upload a new post that night or the morning after.

That was just a quick update to say I'm sorry for the lack of posts, I'd like to thank you all for reading my blog!

Walk With Me!

At the moment the weather in England, can't decide what it wants to do from one minute to the next. Where I live there isn't a lot of things to do, so me and my friends walk, just walk! And the other day we went to see some horses that live near the canal and I couldn't help but take some pictures!

These got so close!

Walking down the stairs was easy enough, but getting back up them...

Walking Storm

Beautiful, cygnets

So not much to say really other than how beautiful are the horses and foals! Over the next few weeks I will be posting a review of The Vamps new album 'Meet The Vamps' also I will be writing a blog on the One Direction and McBusted concerts I went to!
