Two Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette Review

Hey guys, as you probably read the title then you will have guessed that I am reviewing the Two Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette. I have been waiting for this palette for so long, ever since I saw it in one of Amanda Steele's videos, but I was lucky enough that somebody super special bought it for me. Living in the UK it is hard to get some Two Faced products which is another reason I didn't pick it up straight away. But with christmas fast approaching this pocket sized palette is a perfect gift.

This palette is perfect for travelling, it is small enough to fit into handbags and I actually think that it is smaller than some mobile phones. It is great for beginners as it has 9 shades which are split into three step by step looks but of course yo can create whatever looks you like. There is a mix of shimmer and matte shades giving you multiple day looks which can easily be transitioned into night looks.

Shades:

-Spread the love: A peachy tone with very fine glitter, it is very light with a shimmer, it is perfect for a base.
-Peanut butter: A matte brown/ tan, this shade is good for and everyday look and is an ideal transition shade for each of the colours in the palette; it has a lovely buttery texture.
-Peanut butter cup: a shimmery bronze shade, I love this colour although it has quite a bit of fallout.

-Bananas: I love this light golden/ champagne shimmery shade, it is wearable as a day to day base shade or on its own.

-Peanut Brittle: a shimmering coper shade with a warm under tone, this another of my favourites the pay off is incredible and it has a smooth textures.
-Jamin: For me this is my least favourite shade in the palette, it is a deep purple shade with glitter, it is a build able shade but it also has a lot of fall out. This shade is good if you want to smoke out your look and transition to a night time look but I think that a lot of palettes have a shade the same as this one.

Bananas/Peanut Brittle/Jammin'

-Extra Creamy: This is a pure cream shade and as the name suggests it is extra creamy with a super buttery texture.
-Jelly: This shade is the reason I was draw to this palette, its a bright purple shade, it is blend able  but also sheers out a lot and has an iridescent finish. unfortunately this shade is quite crumbly.
-Nuts About U: This is a russet shade shade that blends really well and compliments all of the other shades in this palette.

Extra Creamy/Jelly/Nuts About U

I think this may be one of the favourite palettes that I own, I smells amazing, the packaging is so cute and it is such good quality and I recommend it to everyone.

Primark Pro Brushes

So Primark are at it again, making some super affordable makeup dupes, and with their new PS Pro makeup line launching I popped in to the Tottenham Court Road  branch to pick up the product I'm most looking forward to try out. If you have Instagram then you have probably seen the new Artis oval makeup brushes and plenty of dupes winging their way around. Now as student I don't have much money especially now its come to the end of the year and my loan has all but ran out. But all hail Primark as they fight in our corner to provide us with all the products we need.

I picked up two of the new PS Pro oval blending brushes to try out, the ones I got were, as I remember the smallest and medium sized brushes.  The reason I was so excited to try these brushes because I love buffing and stippling brushes, for me I feel that the more densely packed brushes work best for my skin when it comes to applying makeup. These brushes brushes come in clean and simple packaging, the handles are plain black with the PS Pro logo, they can feel a little flimsy but they should hold up for your blending needs.

On to testing, I tried two different foundations, one is a Topshop Foundation in the colour 1.0 and also No.7 Beautifully Matte Light Foundation in warm ivory. I also used two different concealers, Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch in 02 and No.7 Instant Radiance in shade 10.
I used these two foundations because the No.7 is my favourite foundation whereas the Topshop foundation, although it matches my skin tone perfectly it doesn't blend easily into my skin and I wanted to see if these brushed would help.


The brushes worked well with the No.7 foundation, they gave my skin an even finish, they blended well to give a smooth finish, although they didn't work well when it came to covering blemishes. When it came to adding more layers they didn't seem to give a fuller coverage more like it sponged up more of the product.

When it came to the Topshop foundation, the brushes did exactly what I thought it would. Like other brushes and sponges iv used it took a whole lot of blending to get a layer down because it seemed to just spread around my face, but after a few layers and a lot of blending these brushes managed to give an even finish to my skin but once again didn't leave enough product to cover my blemishes.

Overall I really like brushes for giving a base for my makeup and for the price which was £2.50 for the small and £3 for the medium. I plan to continue to use them and hopefully will be stocking up on some more soon. So if you have been wanting to give some of these brushes a go, I do recommend these for starting out.

Midi Skirt Obsession

Welcome back guys, I'm back wiry another wish list/inspiration type post, this kid of post is what I stared out doing but I have been on them recently but I finally have another one up. This time featuring my favourite current trend. Out of all the current trends, my favourite is midi skirts, I'm not what people would call a 'girly girl' but this is a trend i'm willing to jump on this trend.  have picked out some of my favourites from ASOS and Boohoo, they are low end leading up to high end, and with prom approaching there are lots to choose from. As you can seed from ASOS I have chosen skirts that have a wider variety of shape but are quite close in terms of colour, on ASOS I seemed to have liked more monochrome designs. The first skirt I picked is from Needle and Thread, it is A line not typically 'princess style' but it is made up for with the gorgeous embellished detail. I loved the paper bag skirt because although there isn't a lot going on in terms of colours the paper bag waistline adds flare and is also flattering. Number 4 is also a skirt that has a simple design but could be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Of course I had to include some stripe designs because who doesn't like stripes, over the years stripes have become such a classic piece in anybodies wardrobe. Number 2 has a more dressed up elegance to it where as the contrasting stripes, columns and a much less structured design leads to a more casual daytime look for number 5. For me 6 and 7 are two of my favourites, they have a much more classic shape, to me these feel like long lost pieces of Audrey Hepburn's wardrobe. Finally the mesh shirt brings a tidal wave of modernity to the table, with the cut out detailed mesh over a plain white lining which is slightly shorter than the outer material, which gives the skirt a more fun and flirty feel while still boasting a classic shape.

Contrasting ASOS monochrome colours, Boohoo boast a colourful cocktail of wild and vivid designs. These skirts all have a slight flare to them but the box pleats from the waist which loosen out further down the skirt gives the princess design a more modern, skater skirt feel. My favourites are the two porcelain and the striped, as well as the floral design of number 6. I feel number 6 his a bit more toned down but still has a beautiful design and colours.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show | OOTD

Welcome back guys, last Sunday I went to The Royal Windsor Horse Show accompanied by the lovely Ellie from GingerandVintage. The horse show is a much loved event by the Queen and is in her diary each year, for me coming from the north I have only ever seen parts of the vent on the TV but this year I was able to end myself.

Before we left I was losing my mind over what to wear, this would be and event with a real mix of people attending, did I mention the Queen would be there? Picking what to wear for this day was a real dilemma, I couldn't go shopping for a new outfit because we decided to go the day before, well prepped I know... But anyway this is what I wore.

The atmosphere at the show was amazing, I wasn't expecting it, me and ellie went into the main arena, at around 14:30 and stayed all day until the events finished, my favourite events were the Pony Club and the House Hold Calvary Musical ride. There were food vans everywhere, and people walking around selling strawberries and cream and lots of shops/stalls to wander around and have a look at. My day was made when Prince Phillip drove his carriage past us, we were sat opposite the royal box this was a complete coincidence but then the Queen went in the box. All in all it was a an amazing day, with great food and lots of new experiences and we are already planning to go back next year, I hope you enjoy this post, sorry some of the pictures are low quality.

Current Primark Favourites

Hey guys, so as a youtube junkie, I know how much people; me included enjoy hauls and favourites videos. But I feel is I did a haul it would be a bit to tedious to read about the products on a blog and I don't want to bore you guys so I thought I would just talk about my current favourites.

So starting small the first thing is this adorable silver Dream Catcher Necklace, it has these really small feathers attached, its so minimalist, I think it was £1 but I lost the receipt so I can't be sure... sorry about that.

Next up I have these makeup sponges that were £2 for two, of they are unusual shaped compared to the usual egg shape but the different edges make it easier to blend the make up on the different contours of your face.

I bought these gorgeous real leather healed boots with tasseled fringe for the bargain price of £5. In Primark you have to dig to find the gems.

Lastly bought a white and red vertical striped shirt, it has an oversized fit and is super comfy at £10. Im not uploading a picture because I'm thing of doing an OOTD with it soon.

These are a few things iv picked that I absolutely loving so I thought I would share them with you.

Cute, Casual Day Outfit

New Skin Care Products

In December I may have "accidentally" stumbled across The Body Shop website, where I may "accidentally" have pick a few items. I don't think I have purchased anything from The Body Shop before but I have now been converted.

I thought I would share with you the new additions to my skincare routine which have become my staples. I had heard about all of the good properties of seaweed but I have never tried a seaweed product before but I love these products, especially the toner and they quickly became part of my routine.

I use the toner almost every day as part of my routine. I cleanse my skin using my usual products then  go in with the toner just to make sure my skin is makeup, dirt and oil free. This toner will make your skin feel fresh no matter what sort of day you have have had, and it has a nice floral smell to go with it.

As for the clay mask, I use it once a week depending on how my skin  is at the time or what other products I have already used. I love this mask; like the toner its refreshing on the skin and removes excess oil from your skin. There is no seaweed smell on either of these products only a fresh floral scent.

Now I have tried these products I will for sure be going back for the rest of the products in this range.
