January Birchbox | 2017

If you guys have been following a while, you will know that I am a subscriber and in the past I have only Instagrammed about them. But for once I have decided to put them into a post so that you lovely people can see in better detail what I got.

First off lets all take a moment to discuss how cute this box is. It is white and sunshine yellow sprinkles and draw which is adorned with 'sprinkle happiness', perfect for the new year if you are into that sort of stuff - new year, new me- new phase of the sun.

So starting with the the products, my favourite is the Merci Handy Hand Cream, I usually buy hand cream, use it once of twice and forget about it; but not this time. I love this product, from the smell, to the texture and it is definitely helping my hands through this winter season.

Next up is the Lord and Berry Concealer, it is super creamy and it is actually the right shade for my skin it does blend easily and if you blend so much then it almost all disappears, I haven't worn it long enough to say whether it it has a good lasting power, so stay tuned on Instagram to see my final thoughts.

The nail varnish in this box is a Nail Inc Foil Polish in Kings Road, now I don't wear nail polish because I have serious nail polish issues, like a seriously put it on and feel uncomfortably and I immediately take it back off. But if I was to pick a nail varnish I would 100% pick this shade and I did some browsing on their site and fell in love with so many of the shades.

I also  received Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo which I was excited about because I am currently in a love/hate relationship with my hair, but I am a bit disappointed, I don't know how to explain it but my hair didn't feel clean, it felt like there was a layer lingering over my scalp. the only thing I liked about this product was the smell and it made my fine hair feel thicker.

Lastly I got Nior  London Rejuvenating Cream, I haven't used yet because I am testing out a few new skin products at the moment and don't  want to just test them for a few days and start switching to new ones, so sorry about that. But I think I will start using it because it is to supposed to soften wrinkles which I don't have yet but I think I want to prevent them.

Well guys I hope you have enjoyed this kind of post, comment if you would like to see more Birch Box related posts.

Lush Valentines Collection | 2017

Hello lovlies, welcome back, I had planned to post this earlier on but you know me; I'm hardly ever on time because I have been concentrating on university. But as you have probably noticed it is valentines day and as you also may have probably noticed Lush always release a valentines collection so now that I'm out of student halls I picked a few things up; then realised that I have no water pressure in the bathtub taps to actually run a bath, I usually just have showers. But anyway, this is what I got.

Cupid bath bomb:
- Im not always one for floral scents but this bath bomb won me over, it isn't over powering and at £2.95 its a steal.

Lovestruck bubble bar:
-Just look at it, no more needs to be said.

Love you, love you lots soap:
- Once again this is a floral scent but it is subtle and sweet, it has a lovely creamy texture.

Over and Over bath bomb:
-Its orange, okay? Orange!

Ladybird bubble bar:
- I was a little reluctant to pick this up because it has peppermint oil in it but I can't actually pick that scent up at all but for me it is a little to much and I'm a little on and off about whether I like it, but the design is super cute.

Lover Lamp bath bomb:
-I love this, it has a simple and very cute design with a floral but fruity scent, its smells like chocolate but it also smells like a flower bed, win, win right?

Kiss Me Quick shower card:
-Its brightly coloured and its fruity, I mostly just bought this because it is something I have never seen before but I actually really love it.

Thank you for reading, I hope you have had a lovely Tuesday and a good valentines day.

Lush Cosmetics | Ancient Stone Circles | AD / Gifted/ Collar

Hey guys, how has your January been so far? For me it's been stressful but thats not what I'm here to talk about.

Before Christmas I was invited to an event by ECC100 Records and Lush cosmetics showcasing Gorilla Perfumes new range Volume 2 and songs created to accompany them, the perfumes are visualised around ancient stone circles and the nature surrounding them, the website describing them as;
“a collection of perfumes inspired by prehistoric
stone monuments and man's relationship with nature.
A sensual experience combining fragrance and music in
 the beautiful Dorset countryside.”

This was the first time I went to an event like this I was so nervous but the team who organised it and the other bloggers there made me feel welcome. The night kicked off with drinks and introductions then we were led into a cinema where John Metcalfe and Simon Richmond played the songs they has created to go along side the perfumes, along with some visuals on the big screen. All the while the different scents were passed around the room as the matching song played for them.

For me the scents were extremely strong, they really did fit the bill as being completely in one with nature, everything about them screamed earthy scents, but they are a bit to strong for me, I really struggle with to strongly smelling scents; especially floral ones. But the whole presentation of the perfumes and the music accompanying was amazing, they really are gorgeous scents whether I like them or not, and i'm sure a guy on the tube was wearing one the other day. If you like heady natural, floral scents then I would highly recommend these. As well as the perfumes we were also given a vinyl copy of the albums that go hand in hand with the perfumes, and I really love the songs, and the album art is gorgeous.

New Year, New Brushes: Spectrum

Well 2017 is over - Happy new year guys, 2016 passed by in a flash and I'm sure it is a year many want to forget. For the most part I'm stand with the people who want to forget, but 2016 did bring some opportunities with it and helped boost my confidence in some ways. But 2017 is here and its not going well for me so far, but lets forget about that and get to the real reason we are here... New makeup brushes.

If you follow me in instagram you will know that  I am subscribed to Birchbox and a few months ago I received a makeup brush and sponge from spectrum and iv been in love with them ever since. With the sales in full swing I decided I would have a browse through Spectrum's site and grab a few new brushes ready for the year ahead. I'm guessing that people love these brushes to as a lot of them were sold out but I did manage to pick up a few.

I bought:
-A07 - Stubby Shader
-A18 - Oval Concealer
-A19 - Fine Detailer
-B02 - Domed Buffer
-B03 - Baby Buffer
-B06 - Tall Tapered Blender
-C05 - Small Domed Contour

As I said before I love these brushes, they are such good quality, super soft and they don't shed. Spectrums do a large range of brushes with gorgeous designs and I'm hoping to buy some of the collections at great prices; I recomend these brushes to anyone and everyone.

Two Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette Review

Hey guys, as you probably read the title then you will have guessed that I am reviewing the Two Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette. I have been waiting for this palette for so long, ever since I saw it in one of Amanda Steele's videos, but I was lucky enough that somebody super special bought it for me. Living in the UK it is hard to get some Two Faced products which is another reason I didn't pick it up straight away. But with christmas fast approaching this pocket sized palette is a perfect gift.

This palette is perfect for travelling, it is small enough to fit into handbags and I actually think that it is smaller than some mobile phones. It is great for beginners as it has 9 shades which are split into three step by step looks but of course yo can create whatever looks you like. There is a mix of shimmer and matte shades giving you multiple day looks which can easily be transitioned into night looks.

Shades:
-Spread the love: A peachy tone with very fine glitter, it is very light with a shimmer, it is perfect for a base.
-Peanut butter: A matte brown/ tan, this shade is good for and everyday look and is an ideal transition shade for each of the colours in the palette; it has a lovely buttery texture.
-Peanut butter cup: a shimmery bronze shade, I love this colour although it has quite a bit of fallout.

Spread The Love/Peanut Butter/Peanut Butter Cup
-Bananas: I love this light golden/ champagne shimmery shade, it is wearable as a day to day base shade or on its own.
-Peanut Brittle: a shimmering coper shade with a warm under tone, this another of my favourites the pay off is incredible and it has a smooth textures.
-Jamin: For me this is my least favourite shade in the palette, it is a deep purple shade with glitter, it is a build able shade but it also has a lot of fall out. This shade is good if you want to smoke out your look and transition to a night time look but I think that a lot of palettes have a shade the same as this one.
Bananas/Peanut Brittle/Jammin'

-Extra Creamy: This is a pure cream shade and as the name suggests it is extra creamy with a super buttery texture.
-Jelly: This shade is the reason I was draw to this palette, its a bright purple shade, it is blend able  but also sheers out a lot and has an iridescent finish. unfortunately this shade is quite crumbly.
-Nuts About U: This is a russet shade shade that blends really well and compliments all of the other shades in this palette.

Extra Creamy/Jelly/Nuts About U

I think this may be one of the favourite palettes that I own, I smells amazing, the packaging is so cute and it is such good quality and I recommend it to everyone.

Urban Decay Vice Reloaded Palette Review

I was skimming through the Debenhams website for christmas gifts a few days ago and saw that they have discounts across the whole store. I then found myself in the depths of their beauty section and I couldn't help but pick something up for myself. After lots of browsing I decided up on the Urban Decay Vice Reloaded Eye Shadow Palette, the vast amount of colours immediately drew me in.

For me this is my first Urban Decay Palette, gasp! I know right?!?! No Naked Palettes, no setting spray, no Primer Potion, no nothing. But I have to say with this first purchase I'm in love.

Im a little late reviewing this palette because its limited edition and it came out in January but oh well I have it now. This palette is to celebrate 20 years of Urban Decay, it includes some of some of their older, discontinued shades, some current favourites and a few new ones. The matte black packaging and the purple jewel logo on the front won me over, it is just so sleek and stunning, also the button to open the palette just makes it feel so much more high end and glamourous.

The pigmentation of these shadows are incredible; they are so creamy and I also love the shade range,  the only down side for me is there is a lot of fall down with a lot of the colours but they blend beautifully and have greats staying power. The range of colours is also perfect, you have some more day appropriate, but you also have a range of bright colours and shimmer and to top it off they are build able so perfect if you are still experimenting with the more bold colours.

UV-B, Goldmine, Gash, Mildew

The colours I swatted for you are, Mildew, Goldmine, UV-B, Gash, Smog, Freakshow, 501and misdemeanor. My favourites being UV-B, Goldmine, Gash and Mildew.

Freakshow, Misdemeanor, Smog and 501

Freakshow, Misdemeanor, Smog and 501

Mildew, UV-B, Goldmine and Gash

All in all I love this palette and I can't wait to start trying out new looks with all of the shade. Thank you for reading, what are your favourite shade? Are there any other palettes that you would suggest?
