It's a Carnaby Christmas

The saturday after Black Friday me and my flat mates ventured out to Oxford Street to check out the sales, and to tell you the truth it was absolutely manic, but I managed to pick up a few things. I thought I would show you guys some of the pictures I had taken that day.

Personally I love Carnaby so when ever I visit Central London I inevitably end there, I wasn't going to put these pictures up because this isn't a planned post, I took these pictures to send to my family back home, but I figured you guys wouldn't mind seeing the christmas lights.

Carnaby is nestled in between Regent Street and Oxford street, it is a few small streets of shops all lined up and surrounded by old timey pubs and restaurants, some of the buildings are old and painted different colours with designs from different eras with modern twists to fit the shops they inhabit.

Of course while I was on oxford street I just so happened to pop into the Disney Store and happily found myself in the pumpkin cart from Cinderella.

Moving To London

Hey guy, I know it has been a while since iv been active and I wanted to explain to you where I have been. Basically I got in to the university I applied for which meant moving to London, and so far its been the best decision iv made.

I love all of the people in my flats and the area I live in is amazing, I guess all the college work I did paid off.

After my nan died I decided to take some time away but then I had to moved down to London a week later, before having to go back home for the funeral, so I took a little extra time to get to know my new local area as well as explore central London. I will be posting the pictures of my journeys soon.

When I was younger we would travel to London a few times a year and I hated it, it was much too hectic for young me, people everywhere bumping into you, traffic everywhere, and the heat of the underground.

But now I'm older iv learned to appreciate these things and take them all in my step, as the capital city London has so much more to offer other than Buckingham Palace and the London Eye, everywhere you look there is something new to see. From all of the parks, to the architecure, and the hidden side streets packed with hidden boutiques on cobble stoned walk ways.

If you want to see more of my adventures around London then follow me on twitter to see when I post.

Clear Skin Challenge: New Products I'm Using

Im a week into this challenge and so far I think its going well, or at least it started off well...
I was eaten healthy at the start and it went down hill from there, I also haven't been drinking water which doesn't help.

I always see people talking about eating healthy to help keep your skin clear, and to an extent I believed it but didn't think it would have a massive impact. Oh how I was wrong! Im a self-confessed chocolate eating, crisp munching, coke drinking addict. But I have been eating pretty healthy for a few weeks so I it helped my skin and when that began to go down hill and I wanted to eat everything in sight (hormones right? But not that time of the month) my skin changed.

I got more blemished and my dark circles got darker. But I have bought some more skiing care products that I feel helped so here is my list.

  • Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Cleansing Milk
  • Nivea Daily Essentials Soothing Cleansing Mousse
  • Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash
  • Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser
As you can see most of it was Nivea which was totally accidental, I bought them on separate occasions from different stores, whenever I was walking past skin care I could just feel myself been draw to them, which I'm glad of because these are amazing for your skin.

These products are so gentle for your skin but I think they make a big different and I now live by them.

For the simple moisturiser I chose this because I have the simp foaming cleaners and the day cream, both of which I love, and I wanted something that wasn't going to be full chemicals and irritate my skin but works with the other products I have so it was a no brainer.

From these pictures (I'm sorry they are blurry) you can see most of my blemishes have gone down and I just need to stop the scarring, also try and reduce the redness around my nose.

I have no idea why this is the wrong way.

If you guys know any products to help with scarring then please comment or tell me on social media all of my links are at the side.

*also I will be doing more in-depth reviews of the new products I have bought.

Clear Skin Challenge

My skin has slowly been getting worse over the past 8 or so months, I think I was quite lucky as a young teen because I was a 'late bloomer' so it wasn't until my later teens where my skin began to change. I will look at my self everyday and be annoyed about by skin but then did nothing about it, but now I'm changing my ways!

Today I will be starting my own Clear Skin Challenge, I feel if I turn it into a challenge and document what it is I'm doing then I will be more likely to stick to it.

I will be documenting food that I eat as well as skin care products that I use and any products I use I will write a seperate review for! Iv got my filofax ready and it is now dedicated to this challenge so I can fill it in each day.

I have some 'before' pictures to show and I will add on after pictures in14 days.

These first pictures I took in my bathroom the lighting is just the sun through the window and no other lighting.

And these last two are taken at night before bed with the bathroom light on.

As you can see my skin isn't ridiculously bad or out of hand but I have many trouble points.

I would say I have dry-combination skin, and as I'm getting older my skin is getting more on the dry side but then it will flip and become really oily. I have a lot of redness around my nose and at the moment I have one of those spots that grow huge, are really red and is really painful so I'm excited to see what products work to help that.

I have really dark under eye circles and on my left side it is slightly puffy like iv been crying and the right is generally flat darker. The area under my cheek bone is getting worse, I never usually got spots there before but now I do I like to call it 'contouring with acne'. As for my skin tone, I have medium-olive skin and my face is the palest part of my body, and I have really uneven skin tone, a lot of the times I will have ashy grey areas that look like death warmed up or yellow tones.

So there is the low down on my skin, lets see if I can change it! I hope you guys stick around to see it out.

Thanks for reading.

Ps. I look happy in my pictures right!?!? I really hate having pictures taken sorry guys.

Simple At Home Workout

I know that not everyone is able to go to the gym so I thought I would share with you guys a super simple workout that you guys can do at home, that doesn't need any equipment.

Before I start I would like to say that I am in no way an expert and I recommend you speak to an expert before doing these exercises because if you do some of these wrong you can do more damage than good. If you don't have an expert at hand then there are plenty of tutorials on youtube, I suggest Livestrong or Livestrongwomen.

-15 Crunches with leg lift (I have my legs propped up at a 45 degree angle on a chair)
-15 Tricep dips
-20 calf raises
-15 sumo squats
-30 bicycle crunches
-30 mountain climbers

Do 3 sets of these.

I hope you guys like this kind of post, if you would like more then comment or tweet me.

Avocado & Green Tea Hair Mask

Have you ever watched TV and wondered how the actresses manages to get frizz free, shiny hair? Well iv made a hair mask that gave me the answer and it was made using only three ingredients which I already had the house.

Ingredients:
4 teaspoons of olive oil
Half and avocado
Half a cup of green to (using just one tea bag)

I used a blender to mix this because it was quicker but also it helped the oil mix in with the other ingredients but if you don't have a blender all you have to do iv mash and mix it together.

I added plant of this too my hair, I sectioned off parts of my hair to make sure I didn't miss any spots then massaged it in. I left it for 20-30 minutes (I didn't want to miss corrie) then washed it out, I shampooed twice and then added conditioner to only the ends of my hair.

I picked these three ingredients because they all have plenty of benefits some share the same benefits so I thought mixing them would double the chances of healthy hair.

Results:
For me this mix made my hair easier to brush, easy to straighten, soft and refreshed, also my hair wasn't weighed down and I have no frizz.

Benefits of the ingredients:
Olive oil:
Makes hair softer
adds shine
is moisturising and stops frizz
helps keep hair from tanlging

Green tea:
Helps with hair growth
prevents hair loss
helps control dandruff
can soothe itchy scalp (it can also help soothe psoriasis)

Avocado:
Helps hair growth
moisturising
adds shine
prevents hair loss
can treat dry and itchy scalp
helps tackle frizz
helps control dandruff

There you go a super simple, easy to make mask which promotes healthy hair.

I hope you liked this post.

Smoothie Sunday | Apricot Delight

Once again I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried apricot, the only time I have eaten apricot is in   yogurt but I wanted to try the actual fruit so I made a smoothie.

Ingredients:
1 passion fruit
juice of half an orange
1 mango
3 apricots
100ml of coconut and pineapple juice.

This smoothie is for people with a sweet tooth, I hope you enjoy

When I payed for the apricots I was stood at the till for about 15 minutes because they weren't on the computer system so it took four different workers to work out how to pay.

I bought the coconut and pineapple juice because it is really expensive to buy coconut water on its own so I figured that this would be a good alternative and bought it, but silly me didn't read what was in it until I got home. It is full of added flavours and also milk, which I am sensitive with, I told you guys before I have a lot of bad luck.

My Current Travel Bucket List

I love to travel and explore, travelling is something I have been doing all my life so I wanted to make a post of all the places I wish to travel in the future!

A lot of of the things in my list are based in the UK, because the UK is a beautiful place to explore and I think people forget about all the places to go other than the big cities. Castles have always fascinated me so I'm happy to explore any castles thrown at me.

  • Visit all the castles in the UK
  • Visit the Vatican
  • Visit Venice
  • Travel  around the British coast line
  • Go to the Harry Potter Studios
  • Go and see the Gaints Causeway
  • Go and see the northern lights
  • Track mountain gorillas
  • Go to the Fiary chimneys of Cappadpcia
  • Go to Hobbiton in New Zealand (and New Zealand in general)
  • Visit Red Square in Russia
  • Visit Japan
I love exploring cities whether they are sprawling cityscapes or more quaint towns, I enjoy looking at the architecture in big cities just as much as I enjoy finding book shop tucked away in a rustic town.

Places I have visited in the past:
Kalkan

Falmouth
